The Lord Mayor had his first event at Mansion House on November 13th. 250 attendees listened to the inaugural Mansion House Economic Lecture on 'China: an economic outlook' with Professor Fan Gang, President of the China Development Institute and formerly a member of the Monetary Policy Committee of the People’s Bank of China.
The event was Co-Hosted by the China Chamber of Commerce in the UK and supported by Z/Yen Group and China UK Business Development Centre.
The Lord Mayor, Alderman Professor Michael Mainelli and the Chairman of CCCUK, Fang Wenjian gave an introduction for the lecture and Professor Fan Gang
Thereafter, Mike Wardle, CEO, Z/Yen Group moderated a panel discussion with:
Professor Kerry Brown, Professor of Chinese Studies and Director of the Lau China Institute at King’s College, London
Ms Rongrong Huo, Managing Director, Ninety-One
Mark Logan MP, Member of Parliament for Bolton North East and Parliamentary Private Secretary for the Department for Work and Pension
