On 7 November 2025, the Belt and Road Trade and Investment Forum was held in Beijing under the theme “Connecting Green Growth, Building a Resilient Future.”Mr. Ren Hongbin, Chairman of CCPIT and CCOIC, attended the opening ceremony and called on the global business community to become practitioners of win-win cooperation, advocates of openness and inclusiveness, and builders of connectivity — while expanding collaboration in green development, AI, and the digital economy.
During the event, Mr. Ren met with business leaders from around the world. John McLean OBE, Chairman of the CUKBDC, highlighted CUKBDC’s commitment to advancing UK-China cooperation in green infrastructure and digital innovation.
Following the opening, CUKBDC and the Algeria-China Business Council signed an MOU, further expanding the Belt and Road business cooperation network.
In subsequent media interviews, John also shared that CUKBDC will soon enhance its presence across China’s key eastern regions, continuing to build stronger bridges for Belt and Road collaboration.
