Co-working with Delloitte, China UK Business Development Centre supported a delegation of 10 people from Beijing Xicheng District, let by the Deputy Director of Xicheng District Development and Reform Commission, came to Hangzhou for a 3-day market research and company visit in the middle of March.
Xicheng’s visit to Hangzhou focused on two sectors, which are financial technology and digital economy. Xicheng, is the well-known to China Financial Street is located; Xicheng, is also the key financial regulators including the People's Bank of China, the State Financial Regulatory Administration, and the China Securities Regulatory Commission are located. Xicheng District accounts for one-third of the country's financial assets. Hangzhou, on the other hand, is leading in China in terms of digital economy and FinTech. There are strong complement and big potential for collaboration between Xicheng and Hangzhou. During their stay in Hangzhou, the delegates from Xicheng District held discussions and in-depth exchanges with Ant Technology, Lianlian Digital, Ping Pong Intelligence, Yuhuang Shannan Fund Town, having had warm discussions on forward-looking topics in the financial industry, digital economy and other fields, aiming to promote win-win cooperation between SOEs in Beijing's Xicheng District and those SMEs in Hangzhou. The possibility of multi-dimensional integration from industrial chain, region, and different market levels are also being explored.
